Referral by UK partner after indicating they didn’t want a huge integration, but rather a phased roll-out of a fully custom solution based on their processes and timeline. BizBloqs fit the bill and was actually much more affordable than other options.
KTC was running a huge warehouse operation completely based on paperwork and documents. They had to deal with a lot of manual human labor. Also, because the process wasn’t optimized, a lot of double handling was required to complete standard tasks. It just became increasingly challenging to keep stock information accurate and it finally reached a point where it became clear that a level of automation was needed to gain the critical insights again so the right decisions could be made at the right time.
Starting the transformation journey together
KTC had a very strong contribution when we set the timeline and order of activities together, which turned out to be a strong foundation for a great collaboration. We started off by digitizing and optimizing the label process for the production, which was then implemented. Next, we addressed the order picking process and made sure that everything worked as desired. Following this style of phased deployment, slowly and steadily the entire collection of processes was thought through and carefully implemented. This included also the purchasing and order management to close the loop on all processes.
Because of the Agile-like stepped approach, the customer benefited strongly from progressive insights. Every step of the way, they thought out each process and discussed in great detail with BizBloqs how to address the challenges that were identified. This step-by-step deployment brought KTC ever closer to the finish line at a pace the organization could easily handle. Both parties look back and appreciate how this Agile approach delivered the desired results in a predictable and well-managed way. The KTC solution for ERP is Access, which proved quite a challenge to integrate seamlessly. BizBloqs is proud to have this achievement under the belt and foresees pleasant surprises for future customers with Access implementations, as this skillset was added to our repertoire.

Less surprising, the full WMS integration across multiple warehouses is still in the finalization stages. Not only does the customer deal with over 30,000 pallet locations at multiple sites, this project was also one of the most challenging for BizBloqs in its history. In perspective across over 300 customers, this joint deployment has by far the most customizations for a single project. The end-result has been molded and shaped to fit the customer’s needs to perfection.
Building and maintaining a great relationship was obviously a critical requirement for this project. As the customer is in the UK, our local presence made a world of difference in our ability to build the relationship and service KTC to the best of our ability. We built everything that was needed at the pace set by the customer, launching features and functions when they feel good and ready.
